Baby's 1st Birthday Party Ideas

Your baby's 1st birthday is a once in a lifetime event. Why not remember it with an extra special celebration!

If you are looking to host a party that is sure to go over well, check out the tried-and-true party ideas below.

This popular theme party can be prepared in less than a day, or in only a few hours for those high energy hosts!

Decorations

*Decorate with "1" shaped items, especially if paired with favorite characters (Elmo, etc)
*Fill the room with stuffed animals
*Alphabet games
*Puzzles
*Primary colored numbers

Costumes/Attire

Create t-shirts with the #1 on them, or with the birthday boy/girl's photo on it. Give each guest a t-shirt to wear, which also serves as a keepsake.

Activities

While activities are for the kids, adults will have to assist. Be sure to include activities that the adults will enjoy as well.

*Puppet show
*Baby 1st Bingo- create items baby just loves on the bingo card
*Guestbook with words to remember about why they are special *Remembering the first year- Post photos of special milestone events in baby's life.

Invitations

Create a "1" shaped invitation out of cardboard (like a board book) or construction paper. You can use a color copied photo of the birthday boy or girl as the front of the invitation.

Food & Drink

A great cake is shaped like a long, wavy caterpillar. Use primary colors for each connecting ball, and add licorice for the antennae along with jellybean eyes.

Have a wonderful Baby's 1st birthday party!
